These projects, covering Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh, are in line with the PM's Atmanirbhar vision, enhancing employment opportunities for the people of these regions. They will also provide rail connectivity to prominent destinations, boosting tourism.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Modi, has approved doubling the 177 km Bhagalpur–Dumka–Rampurhat railway line across Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal at a cost of ₹3,169 crore. This multi-tracking will ease congestion, improve connectivity for people and goods, boost tourism, and support PM Modi’s vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat by creating more employment and self-employment opportunities in the region.
