In yet another global honour for PM Modi, he was conferred the ‘Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit’ by His Majesty King Harald V of Norway. The award is conferred in recognition of the outstanding service in the interest of Norway and humankind. In his remarks during the India-Norway Joint Press Meet, PM Modi appreciated Norway for standing firmly with India against terrorism. He noted India’s target of attracting one hundred billion dollars in investment and creating one million jobs over the next fifteen years. He reiterated that both India and Norway believe in a rules-based order and advocated the early restoration of peace in Ukraine and West Asia.
