The CCEA, chaired by PM Modi, approved construction of a 46 km, 4-lane Marakkanam–Puducherry stretch of NH-332A in Tamil Nadu under Hybrid Annuity Mode at a cost of ₹2,157 crore. Upgrading the congested 2-lane route will improve safety, decongest traffic, and enhance connectivity between Chennai, Puducherry, Viluppuram, and Nagapattinam.
