Cabinet approves semiconductor manufacturing units in ODISHA, PUNJAB and ANDHRA PRADESH worth Rs.4600 crore

The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, has approved four semiconductor projects worth ₹4,600 crore under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM). These projects will give a major boost to India’s semiconductor ecosystem, including the country’s first commercial compound fab and an advanced glass-based substrate packaging unit, and are expected to create jobs for 2,034 skilled professionals.
