While addressing a Parivartan rally at Dehradun in Uttarakhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Uttarakhand can no longer wait for development. Shri Modi launched the Chardham highway development project and said that it is a fitting tribute to those who lost their lives in Kedarnath tragedy. The Prime Minister said the new project will improve connectivity to the Chardham pilgrimage centres. Shri Modi mentioned that facilities for pilgrims at Chardham Yatra centres were not adequate and due to that several devotees were unable to travel.
