ଆଜିର ଦିନ ଏକ ବିଶେଷ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱ ବହନ କରେ, ଏହା ସିକ୍କିମର ଗଣତାନ୍ତ୍ରିକ ଯାତ୍ରାର ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଜୟନ୍ତୀର ଅବସର । ମୁଁ ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ରହି ଏହି ଉତ୍ସବ, ଏହି ଉତ୍ସାହ, ୫୦ ବର୍ଷର ଏହି ସଫଳ ଯାତ୍ରାର ସାକ୍ଷୀ ହେବାକୁ ଚାହୁଥିଲି । ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ସହିତ କାନ୍ଧରେ କାନ୍ଧ ମିଶାଇ ଏହି ଉତ୍ସବର ଅଂଶ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଥିଲି । ମୁଁ ବହୁତ ସକାଳୁ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀରୁ ବାହାରି ବାଗଡୋଗ୍ରାରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିଲି, କିନ୍ତୁ ପାଗ ମୋତେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରଦେଶ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ନେଇଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ, ଆଗକୁ ଯିବାରେ ବାଧା ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଥିଲା । ଫଳରେ ମୋତେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସିଧାସଳଖ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବାର ସୁଯୋଗ ମିଳିଲା ନାହିଁ । କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଏହି ଦୃଶ୍ୟ ଦେଖି ପାରୁଛି, ଏତେ ସୁନ୍ଦର ଦୃଶ୍ୟ ମୋ ସାମ୍ନାରେ ଅଛି, ମୁଁ ସବୁଠି କେବଳ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିପାରୁଛି, ଏହା କି ଅଦ୍ଭୂତପୂର୍ବ ଦୃଶ୍ୟ । ବହୁତ ଭଲ ହୋଇଥାନ୍ତା, ଯଦି ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଥାଆନ୍ତି, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ସେଠାରେ ପହଞ୍ଚି ପାରିଲି ନାହିଁ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ଆପଣ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ କ୍ଷମା ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଛି । କିନ୍ତୁ ମାନ୍ୟବର ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୋତେ ଯେମିତି ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି, ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ କଥା ଦେଉଛି, ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାର ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେବା ମାତ୍ରେ ମୁଁ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ଭାବରେ ସିକ୍କିମ ଆସିବି, ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବି ଏବଂ ୫୦ ବର୍ଷର ଏହି ସଫଳ ଯାତ୍ରାର ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦର୍ଶକ ହେବି । ଆଜି ଗତ ୫୦ ବର୍ଷର ସଫଳତାକୁ ପାଳନ କରିବାର ଦିନ ଏବଂ ଆପଣମାନେ ଏକ ବହୁତ ଭଲ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ଆୟୋଜନ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ଆଉ ମୁଁ ଲଗାତାର ଶୁଣୁଥିଲି ଏବଂ ଦେଖୁଥିଲି ଯେ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନିଜେ ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମକୁ ସ୍ମରଣୀୟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ବହୁତ ଶକ୍ତି ଲଗାଉଛନ୍ତି । ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦୁଇଥର ଦିଲ୍ଲୀ ଆସି ମୋତେ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ସିକ୍କିମ ରାଜ୍ୟର ୫୦ତମ ବାର୍ଷିକୀ ପାଇଁ ମୁଁ ଆପଣମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିନନ୍ଦନ ଜଣାଉଛି ।

ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ନରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମୋଦୀ ଆଜି ଭିଡିଓ କନଫରେନ୍ସିଂ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଗ୍ୟାଙ୍ଗଟକରେ 'ସିକ୍କିମ@50' କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମକୁ ସମ୍ବୋଧିତ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ବିଷୟବସ୍ତୁ ଥିଲା 'ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ପ୍ରଗତି ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ସହିତ ମିଳିତ ହୁଏ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରକୃତି ବିକାଶକୁ ପ୍ରତିପାଳନ କରେ'।
