The 60th Republic Festival-2009-Panchmahal

On the eve before Republic day, Chief Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi laid foundation stone of a new radial tyre plant by CEAT Company at Halol today. The RPG Tyre manufacturing company would invest Rs 800 crores for the erection of the plant, which is likely to generate employment opportunities for three thousand people. He elaborated upon a strategy of developing the central Gujarat region as a hub of automobile industry. The ideal and harmonious environment garners huge capital investments in the state, the investors feel that their investment is safe and can bring about best results.

The 60th Republic festival is being celebrated at Panchmahal as a festival of development with patriotic zeal and gaiety.

Gujarat shows the path of tackling the ongoing recessionary trends across the world by converting the crisis in to an opportunity. Chief Minister outlined the of RACE formula, “Low-cost, Low-risk and high efficiency, and high alertness formula is adopted by Gujarat. Japan has come forth as the partner country during the vibrant summit, which is really a great breakthrough for the state. The Summit has infused a new confidence, forty countries had savored the glory economic extravaganza, and they sought heartrending insights from the outcomes of the Vibrant Summit.

Tremendous success has attended the Vibrant-Summit. The proposed Delhi Mumbai dedicated Freight corridor ,which passes from Abu-road to Mumbai covers 40% of land area of Gujarat, ushering in to tremendous economic transformation of Gujarat and the country. The strategic and proactive planning by the State Government would target to develop the long coastal lines in to the gateway to progress and prosperity. The Automobile sector is bound emerge as a significant contributor to massive employment generation. The Vibrant Summit has catapulted immense growth for the automobile cluster.

To meet the need of skilled manpower, a network of new engineering colleges, polytechnics, and it I.T.Is would churn out young technocrats.

Chairman RPG Enterprise, Shri Harsh Goenka delivered welcome address and M.D. CEAT group Shri Paras Chaudhri proposed vote of thanks.

M.P. Shri Bhupendrasinh Solanki, MLAs Shri Jaydrathsinh Parmar, Shri Arvindsinh Rathod, Collector Shri Milind Torvane, and the industrialists were among the others who attended the function.

The leaders also exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi received a telephone call today from the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, His Excellency Mr. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the India–Brazil Strategic Partnership and take it to even greater heights in the year ahead.

Recalling their meetings last year in Brasília and South Africa, the two leaders noted with satisfaction the significant progress achieved across diverse areas of bilateral cooperation, including trade and investment, technology, defence, energy, health, agriculture, and people-to-people ties.

The leaders also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest. They also underscored the importance of reformed multilateralism in addressing shared challenges.

Prime Minister Modi conveyed that he looked forward to welcoming President Lula to India at an early date.
