Gandhinagar, Tuesday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi greeted 413 players from 33 states, including 82 women, taking part in All India Civil Services Badminton Tournament which started at the newly constructed Sachivalaya Gymkhana here today. It will conclude on October 27, 2013.

Mr. Modi said that sports and games are the key to healthy mind and body. It is the excellence on the playground, rather than that in political arena that commands greater respect. He also gave a glimpse of the Khel Mahakumbh being held in Gujarat.

Gujarat’s Chief Secretary Varesh Sinha and officials of different state teams were also present on the occasion.

India is the fastest country in the world to administer 100 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine. India achieved the feat in 85 days whereas USA took 89 days and China reached the milestone in 102 days.
