On the afternoon of 1st April, Shri Narendra Modi addressed massive rallies at various places in Madhya Pradesh. Affirming that the Congress’ decline is certain, Shri Modi dared them to come out in the open and state their intentions instead of using cheap antics that showcase their fear of an impending defeat.

Shri Narendra Modi has asked the Election Commission of India to probe the manner in which the ATC delayed his travel plans across Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, where he is campaigning for the BJP candidates. Shri Modi came down heavily on these cheap antics by vested interest groups to delay his travel, thus keeping lakhs of people who come to hear him at the various venues waiting in the heat. Shri Modi dared those who don’t want him to travel across India to come out in the open and say so and added that they should stop playing these games. Shri Modi apologized to the people for coming late and stated that he will return their affection with stellar development.

On the fate of the Congress in the elections, Shri Modi said its decline is certain. Citing an example of the Congress’ uncaring attitude towards its people was clearly brought out by Shri Modi when he spoke of how the Nirbhaya Fund of Rs. 1000 crore, created by the Centre soon after the gruesome incident, yet lay unused. This, Shri Modi said, was yet another attempt by the Congress to mislead the people with false promises. “Nation has lost a lot in the last ten years, we have not seen any decade like this. Do you want a government that respects women or only pays lip-service to women safety? See the good work of Shri Shivraj Chouhan,” said Shri Modi.

Shri Modi condemned the Congress’ Manifesto, calling it the ‘Dhokha Patra’, and brought forth their false promises by citing how the promise of building ‘Gram Nyayalays’, made in earlier manifestos, were repeated yet again this time. “In 2009 the Congress promised to build Rural Courts in 50,000 villages, but in 5 years they have built only a few hundred,” said Shri Modi. He also expressed deep concern at the power crisis in the Nation, and stated that under the UPA, the Nation was reeling under darkness, even as power plants with massive production capacities lay shut. This, Shri Modi said, was a result of the disruptive scams that the Congress had indulged in. “Congress may have lost files but India lost life in the process,” said Shri Modi, as he spoke about the Congress’ excuses of files of the coal scam having gone missing.

Shri Modi also remarked on the Congress Vice President’s recent statements of having the infrastructure blueprint ready for India, and stated that if creating a blueprint had taken 60 years, then certainly putting it in place would take 600 years. The Congress’ apathy at addressing the grave concern of the devaluing of Indian Rupee was clearly stated by Shri Modi when he spoke of the Centre’s lack of prudence in increasing the exports of Indian agricultural produce by encouraging value-addition, and instead relying on increased imports that led to fiscal deficit.

Stating how the Congress’ misrule had derailed the Nation and its people’s progress, Shri Modi urged the people to vote for the BJP and ensure a stable government. “What has been going on for 10 years, can we let things go on like this? No. We want a good government that works. Rise above caste divisions, nepotism and let’s pledge to elect a government that is development oriented. Delhi needs a stable government and a strong government. I don’t need to tell the people of MP about the good work BJP Governments can do. Madhya Pradesh has seen the good work of Shri Shivraj Chouhan,” said Shri Modi. Recalling Mahatma Gandhi’s call for the disintegration of the Congress after the freedom struggle, Shri Modi urged the people to vote for the BJP in the 2014 Elections and ensure a Congress Mukt Bharat.

Shri Modi also recalled the momentous contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the Nation’s freedom struggle, and spoke of the Congress’ lack of interest in pursuing the leader’s ideals, while adding how the BJP had, instead, initiated the work of erecting the Statue of Liberty in his honour.

State leaders and candidates were present during the rallies.
