Watch : Shri Narendra Modi addressing a massive rally in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh
An affirmation of the BJP’s emphasis on the prosperity of both, Telangana and Seemandhra, was given by Shri Narendra Modi during his rallies at Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar and Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh, on the afternoon of 22nd April. He assured the people of his commitment to work for the future of both the states, and reinforced the Party’s focus on letting the Telugu spirit shine.
At the large rally in Hyderabad Shri Narendra Modi said that these elections are about the future of India's youth and said that no a single moment can be allowed to go waste in fulfilling their aspirations. He recalled how Hyderabad scaled great heights under Atal ji's NDA government when Shri Chandrababu Naidu was the Chief Minister. He reaffirmed the NDA's commitment towards creating a 'Digital India' and shared NDA's commitment to bring back black money stashed abroad. Shri Chandrababu Naidu and Shri Pawan Kalyan joined the Rally in Hyderabad.
“I am here with an assurance that I am committed to Telangana's future. Nothing should happen to the Telugu Spirit. Both Telangana and Seemandhra should shine. BJP has always been keen on Telangana but the way Congress did things, I had said that it gave birth to the child but killed the Mother,” said Shri Modi, as he urged the people to vote for the BJP and show support in the making of a good Telangana.
Recalling the sacrifice of those who laid down their lives so as to ensure the creation of Telangana, Shri Modi asked the people if they wished to have a government (Congress) which only brought bloodshed to the region through their divisive politics or whether a government (BJP) which wouldn’t let the sacrifice of the thousands go down in drain and instead work for the prosperity of the State.
Shri Modi drew the crowd’s attention to the ruin brought in the Nation by the ‘Mother-Son’ duo sitting in Delhi, and cited how their arrogance and divisive politics were reflected in their indifference to the issues of national importance and their disrespect to senior leaders. From Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s disregard for a Dalit CM from Andhra Pradesh during the 1980s to the triviality that the current Congress President and VP attach to the contribution of senior leaders like former Congress Prime Minister Late. Shri P V Narasimha Rao, Shri Modi cited many references that exposed the nonchalant approach of the Congress. “Narasimha Rao became the PM. He belonged to this land and people remember his work but see this one family. They removed Narasimha Rao from the public memory. They dislike AP and believe in divide and rule. Be it Andhra & Telangana, this one family has hatred towards the state. They do not even pay respects on the birth and death anniversaries of Narasimha Rao,” said Shri Modi.
Highlighting the damaging policies of the Centre, Shri Modi spoke of how every person, from the farmer to the soldier, had only faced ruin under the current Central government. He also called upon the need to address the concerns of those who had to leave Telangana and go to foreign shores in search of jobs.
Affirming of the Congress’ wipe-out in the Elections, Shri Modi urged the people to support NDA for the state’s better future. “Support those who will solve the issues of people. The future is not created only by drawing lines but by empowering the youth,” said Shri Modi.
Shri Modi also recalled his interaction with noted Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan and stated that if more people began thinking like the actor, the Telugu spirit will certainly shine.
