On the occasion of the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's fast today, former president of the Bharatiya Janata Party LK Advani said thatthere is no other state in this country that can match up to the 11% growth in Gujarat.

He said that there is no doubt that corruption has been brought under control on Gujarat and this has been discussed on a national level. Gujarat has become an example for development and effective public welfare schemes.

He claimed Gujarat today, in many ways is a modern governance example worth hailing.

He stated that in India there should be zero tolerance towards two things, to maintain a secure civil environment -- corruption and terrorism.

Praising the leadership of Modi, he said that in Gujarat under the leadership of Narendra Modi this progress has been possible.

There are many misunderstandings about Narendra Modi and with the objective of overcoming these misunderstandings he has started this sadbhavna fast.

I as a senior to Mr. Modi, give him my blessings for this mission
