Private Universities have benefited students and the education sector in Gujarat. In order to provide encouragement to this sector, the Government is planning to establish 3 more Private Universities, in addition to the existing specialized universities in the state. A bill was tabled in the Gujarat assembly on April 1st 2013 to seek the establishment of these universities. In addition to proper education, these universities aim to ensure the development of other technical and professional skills. The three new universities include a skill university, first of its kind in the country.
