Minister of National Defence of Vietnam calls on PM

Minister of National Defence of Vietnam, Gen. Phùng Quang Thanh, called on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today.



Prime Minister Modi recalled the successful visit of Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime Minister of Vietnam, to India in October 2014.



Gen. Thanh briefed Prime Minister Modi about defence and security related developments in the India-Vietnam bilateral relationship. Prime Minister Modi expressed satisfaction at the progress made in bilateral defence and security cooperation.

Gen. Thanh and Prime Minister Modi also discussed developments in the Southeast Asian region.
