Gandhinagar, Monday: A high-level delegation from the Maryland State in the USA called on Chief Minister Narendra Modi here today and expressed its desire to forge partnership with Gujarat in areas of mutual cooperation.

The delegation, led by Maryland Economic Development Assistant Secretary Bob Walker, was impressed by the achievements of Gujarat in various fields and praised Mr. Modi's farsightedness and his qualities of leadership.

The Chief Minister enlisted great scope available in Gujarat in medical tourism, biotechnology, life sciences, human resource development, Sports University and in developmental research.

Prominent among those present on the occasion were Chief Minister's Principal Secretary K. Kailashnathan, iNDEXTb Managing Director Mukesh Kumar and GIDC Managing Director B.B. Swain.
