पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी व्हर्च्युअल पद्धतीने आयोजित करण्यात आलेल्या रायसीना संवादाच्या उद्घाटनसत्राला मुख्य अतिथी रवांडाचे अध्यक्ष पॉल कागमे, डेन्मार्कचे पंतप्रधान मेट फ्रेडरिकस्न यांच्यासमवेत संबोधित केले.
अतिशय महत्त्वपूर्ण अशा रासयीना संवादाच्या 6 व्या आवृत्तीचे परराष्ट्र व्यवहार मंत्रालय आणि ऑब्जर्व्हर रिसर्च फाऊंडेशन यांनी 13-16 एप्रिल दरम्यान व्हर्चुअली संयुक्तरित्या आयोजन केले आहे. 2021 साठीची संकल्पना "#व्हायरलवर्ल्ड: आऊटब्रेक्स, आऊटलायर्स आणि आऊट ऑफ कंट्रोल” ही आहे.
पंतप्रधान म्हणाले की, गेले वर्षभर सुरु असलेल्या कोविड-19 संक्रमण काळात या परिषदेचे आयोजन ही मानवी इतिहासातील अतिशय महत्त्वाची घटना आहे. पंतप्रधानांनी जागतिक समुदायाला सद्य परिस्थितीसंदर्भात काही समर्पक प्रश्नांवर आत्मपरीक्षण करण्याचे आवाहन केले.
केवळ लक्षणेच नाही तर मूलभूत कारणांकडे लक्ष देण्यासाठी जागतिक यंत्रणेने स्वतःला अनुकूल केले पाहिजे यावर पंतप्रधानांनी भर दिला. पंतप्रधानांनी आपले विचार आणि कृतीच्या केंद्रस्थानी मानवतेला ठेवण्याचे आवाहन केले, आणि आजचे प्रश्न सोडवणारी तसेच उद्याच्या आव्हानांचा मुकाबला करणारी प्रणाली निर्माण करण्याचे आवाहन केले.
पंतप्रधानांनी महामारीविरोधात भारताने केलेल्या उपाययोजना आणि इतर देशांना केलेली मदत याविषयी तपशीलवार माहिती दिली. महामारीमुळे निर्माण झालेल्या समस्यांचा मुकाबला करण्यासाठी संयुक्त प्रयत्नांवर त्यांनी भर दिला आणि भारत जागतिक हितासाठी आपली शक्ती सामायिक करेल, असे पंतप्रधानांनी भर देऊन सांगितले.
