On the sidelines of the summit, the PM will also hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders.

आज देशाचे महाकवी सुब्रमण्यम भारती जी, यांची जयंती साजरी होत आहे. मी सुब्रमण्यम भारती जी यांना श्रद्धापूर्वक वंदन करतो. त्यांना आपली श्रद्धांजली अर्पण करतो. आज भारताच्या संस्कृती आणि साहित्यासाठी, भारताच्या स्वातंत्र्य संग्रामातील स्मृतीच्या दृष्टीने आणि तामिळनाडूच्या गौरवासाठी एक खूप मोठा दिवस आहे. महाकवी सुब्रमण्यम भारती यांच्या कार्याचे , त्यांच्या साहित्यकृतींचे प्रकाशन म्हणजे, एक खूप मोठा सेवायज्ञ आहे आणि या खूप मोठ्या साधनेला आज पूर्णाहूती दिली जात आहे. 21 खंडांमध्ये ‘कालवरिसैयिल भारतियार पडैप्पुगळ्‘चे संकलन सहा दशकांच्या अथक परिश्रमाचे हे साहस, असामान्य आणि अभूतपूर्व आहे. सीनी विश्वनाथन यांचा हा जो समर्पणाचा भाव आहे, त्यांची ही साधना आहे, हे त्यांनी केलेले परिश्रम आहेत, मला पूर्ण विश्वास आहे की, आगामी पिढ्यांना, त्यांच्या कार्याचा खूप मोठा लाभ मिळणार आहे. आपण कधी कधी एक शब्द ऐकत होतो. ‘वन लाइफ , वन मिशन’! परंतु वन लाइफ वन मिशन नेमके असते तरी काय, हे सीनी यांनी दाखवून दिले. त्यांनी केलेली ही खूप मोठी साधना आहे. त्यांची तपस्या पाहून आज मला महामहोपाध्याय पांडुरंग वामन काणे यांचे स्मरण झाले. त्यांनीही आपल्या आयुष्यातील 35 वर्षे धर्मशास्त्राचा इतिहासाचे लेखन करण्यामध्ये खर्च केले. मला विश्वास आहे, सीनी विश्वनाथन यांचे हे काम अकादमीच्या जगतामध्ये एक ‘बेंच-मार्क’ निश्चित करणारे ठरेल. मी या कार्यासाठी विश्वनाथन जी आणि त्यांचे सर्व सहकारी आणि तुम्हा सर्वांचे खूप खूप अभिनंदन करतो.
