रस्ते, रेल्वे आणि बंदर पायाभूत सुविधांशी संबंधित 18,000 कोटी रुपयांपेक्षा अधिक खर्चाच्या विकास प्रकल्पांचे लोकार्पण व पायाभरणी या कार्यक्रमातून होत असल्याचे त्यांनी अधोरेखित केले. या प्रकल्पांमुळे पश्चिम बंगाल आणि पूर्व भारताच्या विकासाला नवी गती मिळेल, व्यापार उदिमाला चालना मिळेल आणि लाखो लोकांना नव्या संधी मिळाल्यामुळे त्यांचे जगणे सुकर होईल असा विश्वास त्यांनी व्यक्त केला. काही प्रमुख प्रकल्पांचा उल्लेख करताना पंतप्रधान म्हणाले की खरगपूर-मोरग्राम द्रुतगती मागाचे काम पूर्ण झाल्यामुळे पश्चिम बंगालमधील अनेक भागांमधल्या आर्थिक उलाढालींना वेग येईल. दुब्रजपूर बाह्यवळण मार्ग आणि कांग्सबती, शीलबती नद्यांवर बांधण्यात आलेल्या मोठ्या पुलांमुळे संपर्कव्यवस्था आणखी मजबूत होईल असे त्यांनी नमूद केले. “या क्रांतिकारी प्रकल्पांसाठी पश्चिम बंगाल आणि संपूर्ण पूर्व भारतामधील नागरिकांचे मी अभिनंदन करतो,” असे मोदी म्हणाले.
