पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखालील आर्थिक व्यवहार विषयक मंत्रिमंडळ समितीने आज रेल्वे मंत्रालयाच्या अहमदाबाद (सरखेज) – धोलेरा सेमी हाय-स्पीड दुहेरी मार्ग प्रकल्पाला मंजुरी दिली. या प्रकल्पाचा एकूण खर्च सुमारे 20,667 कोटी रुपये आहे. स्वदेशी तंत्रज्ञानावर आधारित हा भारतीय रेल्वेचा पहिला सेमी हाय-स्पीड प्रकल्प असेल.

तिसऱ्या जागतिक भारतीय सागरी परिषद 2023 मध्ये मी तुम्हा सर्वांचे स्वागत करतो. यापूर्वी 2021 मध्ये जेव्हा आपण भेटलो होतो, तेव्हा कोविड महामारीच्या अनिश्चिततेमुळे संपूर्ण जग त्रस्त झाले होते. कुणालाही माहीत नव्हते की कोरोना नंतरचे जग कसे असेल. मात्र आज एक नवीन जागतिक व्यवस्था आकार घेत आहे आणि बदलत्या जागतिक व्यवस्थेत संपूर्ण जग भारताकडे नव्या आशेने पाहत आहे. आर्थिक संकटाचा सामना करणाऱ्या जगात भारताची अर्थव्यवस्था सातत्याने मजबूत होत आहे. आता तो दिवस दूर नाही जेव्हा भारत जगातील अव्वल तीन अर्थव्यवस्थांपैकी एक होईल. आपण सर्वजण जाणतो की जगातील बहुतांश व्यापार सागरी मार्गाने होतो. कोरोना पश्चात काळात आज जगालाही विश्वासार्ह आणि लवचिक पुरवठा साखळीची गरज आहे. म्हणूनच यंदाची जागतिक भारतीय सागरी परिषद अतिशय महत्वपूर्ण आहे.
