आजचा हा 12 मार्चचा दिवस ऐतिहासिक आहे. 12 मार्च 1930 रोजी महात्मा गांधींनी साबरमती इथून दांडी यात्रा सुरू केली होती. भारताच्या स्वातंत्र्य लढ्यातला हा एक निर्णायक टप्पा होता. या यात्रेमुळे देशभरातील लोक एका ध्येयाने एकत्र आले, भारताला स्वतंत्र करण्याचे ध्येय! आज या ऐतिहासिक यात्रेला जवळपास 100 वर्ष होत आली असताना आपण पुन्हा एक नवी यात्रा सुरू केली आहे; ती म्हणजे विकसित भारत यात्रा! विकसित भारत हे आपल्या सर्वांचेच ध्येय आहे. हे ध्येय साध्य करण्यामध्ये अशा परिषदांमधून झालेल्या विचारमंथनातील निष्कर्ष खूप उपयोगी ठरतात. मला एनएक्सटी शिखर परिषदेसाठी आमंत्रित केल्याबद्दल मी तुम्हा सर्वांचे आभार मानतो. इथे देशभरातले तसेच जगाच्या कानाकोपऱ्यातून आलेले बरेच मित्र उपस्थित आहेत. त्यातल्या काही जणांशी माझी जुनी ओळख आहे. मी तुम्हा सर्वांचे अभिनंदन करतो.
