At the India-Sweden-EU Joint Press Meet, PM Modi said that India-Sweden relations had been elevated to the level of a Strategic Partnership. He noted that by bringing together Sweden’s technology and India’s scale, climate solutions benefiting the whole world could be created. In a special ceremony hosted in Gothenburg, Sweden, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria conferred upon PM Modi the Royal Order of the Polar Star, Degree Commander Grand Cross, one of Sweden’s oldest and most distinguished honours. Expressing gratitude for the recognition, PM Modi dedicated the honour to the 1.4 billion people of India and to the enduring friendship between India and Sweden.
