पंतप्रधान म्हणून मी हिंदी महासागर क्षेत्रातील ज्या देशाला 2015 मध्ये सर्वप्रथम भेट दिली होती, तो देश म्हणजे 'सेशेल्स' होता. माझी ती पहिली आफ्रिका भेटही होती. मी इथे आलो कारण माझा हा दृढ विश्वास होता की, हिंदी महासागराबाबतच्या भारताच्या दृष्टिकोनात सेशेल्सला एक अतिशय विशेष स्थान आहे. आज, एका दशकानंतर जेव्हा मी इथे पुन्हा आलो आहे, तेव्हा माझा हा विश्वास पूर्वीपेक्षा अधिक दृढ झाला आहे.

'मन की बात' मध्ये पुन्हा एकदा तुम्हा सर्वांसोबत सहभागी होताना मला खूप आनंद होत आहे. 2026 चं अर्धं वर्ष आता संपत आलं आहे. या सहा महिन्यांत आपण 'मन की बात' मध्ये आपल्या देशबांधवांच्या अनेक कामगिरींवर चर्चा केली आहे. जून महिन्यातही देशानं असे काही मैलाचे दगड गाठले आहेत, ज्यामुळे प्रत्येक नागरिकाला अभिमान वाटेल. हे यश राष्ट्राची सुरक्षा आणि आत्मनिर्भरता यांच्याशी जोडलेलं आहे. अलीकडेच मला कोलकाता इथे एका नौदल कार्यक्रमात सहभागी होण्याची संधी मिळाली. तिथे आयएनएस दूनागिरी, आयएनएस संशोधक आणि आयएनएस अग्रय ही जहाजं भारतीय नौदलाच्या ताफ्यात सामील करण्यात आली. या जहाजांच्या आरेखनापासून ते निर्मितीपर्यंत सर्व काही स्वदेशी आहे.

‘मन की बात’ मध्ये पुन्हा एकदा तुमच्याशी संवाद साधताना मला अतिशय आनंद होत आहे. देशाच्या वेगवेगळ्या भागांत आपल्या देशातले लोक देशहितासाठी, समाजहितासाठी अशा काही अद्भूत गोष्टी करत आहेत की, जेव्हा त्यांच्याबद्दल आपण ऐकतो तेव्हा आपल्याला एक नवीन प्रेरणा मिळते. आज कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात मी ऍथलेटिक्समधील देशाच्या अशाच एका कामगिरीने करणार आहे. काही दिवसांपूर्वीच झारखंडच्या रांची येथे नॅशनल सिनियर ऍथलेटिक्स फेडरेशन स्पर्धा झाली. यामध्ये देशभरातून आलेल्या जवळजवळ 800 खेळाडूंनी भाग घेतला होता. यादरम्यान चार वेगवेगळ्या क्रीडाप्रकारांमध्ये चार राष्ट्रीय विक्रम मोडीत निघाले. गुरिंदरवीर सिंह, विशाल टीके, तेजस्विन शंकर, देव मीणा आणि कुलदीप कुमार. या खेळाडूंनी वेगवेगळ्या श्रेणींमध्ये नवीन विक्रम प्रस्थापित केले. मी सर्वात आधी या सर्वांचे खूप खूप अभिनंदन करतो.
