पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली आज झालेल्या केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाच्या बैठकीत जयपूर मेट्रोच्या दुसऱ्या टप्प्याला मंजुरी मंजुरी मिळाली. या टप्प्याअंतर्गत प्रल्हादपुरा ते तोडी मोड हा 41 किलोमीटर लांबीचा हा परिवर्तनकारी उत्तर-दक्षिण कॉरिडॉर बांधला जाणार आहे. या मार्गावर 36 मेट्रो स्थानके असणार आहेत. या प्रकल्पासाठी एकूण 13,037.66 कोटी रुपये इतका खर्च केला जाणार आहे. राजस्थान मेट्रो रेल कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेडच्या वतीने या प्रकल्पाची अंमलबजावणी केली जाईल. हा प्रकल्प केंद्र आणि राजस्थान सरकारचा संयुक्त उपक्रम असून, यात दोघांचाही वाटा 50:50 असणार आहे.
