Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit West Bengal

PM Modi will visit West Bengal on 14 March 2026. During the visit, the PM will launch development projects worth around Rs. 18,680 crores in Kolkata. These projects span multiple sectors, including road infrastructure, railways, port and shipping. This reflect the Government’s continued commitment to strengthening infrastructure, enhancing connectivity and accelerating economic growth in West Bengal and eastern India.

Cabinet approves three rail projects covering 8 districts across several states

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Modi, has approved three projects of the Ministry of Railways with a total cost of approximately Rs. 9,072 crore, covering eight districts across the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand. The projects are planned under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan and will provide seamless connectivity for the movement of people, goods and services.
