Hon'ble CM visits Vice President Shri Hamid Ansari

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi reached for a courtesy visit to Vice President of India Shri Hamid Ansari at Rajbhavan today.

Earlier Shri Modi received the Vice President at Ahmedabad international airport. He, then in the afternoon went to Rajbhavan, where the Vice President has stayed, to meet him. Shri Hamid Ansari is on a two-day visit to Gujarat.

Gujarat Governor Dr.Smt.Kamlaji, Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Smt. Anandiben Patel, Minister of State for Protocol Shri Jaysinh Chauhan, Chief Secretary Shri A.K.Joti, Ahmedabad Mayor Shri Asit Vora, Air Force Chief of South-Western command, Chief of 11th infantry division, Assembly Speaker Prof.Mangaldas Patel, Ministers Shri Dilipbhai Sanghani, Shri Fakirbhai Vaghela, Shri Pradipsinh Jadeja, Shri Prafulbhai Patel, Ahmedabad Police Commissioner, Secretaries and senior government officials were present on the occasion to receive the Vice President.

The Prime Minister remarked today that it was a matter of immense pride for India that Archbishop George Koovakad will be created as a Cardinal by His Holiness Pope Francis.

The Prime Minister’s Office handle in a post on X said:

“It is a matter of immense pride for India that Archbishop George Koovakad will be created as a Cardinal by His Holiness Pope Francis.

The Government of India sent a delegation led by Union Minister Shri George Kurian to witness this Ceremony.

Prior to the Ceremony, the Indian delegation also called on His Holiness Pope Francis.
