പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി 2021 ഡിസംബർ 4-ന് ഡെറാഡൂൺ സന്ദർശിക്കുകയും ഏകദേശം 18,000 കോടി രൂപയുടെ ഒന്നിലധികം പദ്ധതികളുടെ ഉദ്ഘാടനവും തറക്കല്ലിടലും ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 1 മണിക്ക് നിർവഹിക്കും. യാത്ര സുഗമവും സുരക്ഷിതവുമാക്കുകയും മേഖലയിലെ ടൂറിസം വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന റോഡ് അടിസ്ഥാനസൗകര്യം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള പദ്ധതികളിലായിരിക്കും സന്ദർശനത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന ഊന്നൽ . ഒരുകാലത്ത് വിദൂരമെന്ന് കരുതിയിരുന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ കണക്റ്റിവിറ്റി വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടിന് അനുസൃതമാണിത്.
