പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ഇന്നു ന്യൂഡൽഹിയിലെ ദേശീയ കാർഷിക ശാസ്ത്ര കേന്ദ്ര (NASC) സമുച്ചയത്തിൽ കാർഷിക സാമ്പത്തിക വിദഗ്ധരുടെ 32-ാം അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര സമ്മേളനം (ICAE) ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. ‘സുസ്ഥിര കാർഷിക-ഭക്ഷ്യ സംവിധാനങ്ങളിലേക്കുള്ള പരിവർത്തനം’ എന്നതാണ് ഈ വർഷത്തെ സമ്മേളനത്തിന്റെ പ്രമേയം. കാലാവസ്ഥാവ്യതിയാനം, പ്രകൃതിവിഭവശോഷണം, വർധിക്കുന്ന ഉൽപ്പാദനച്ചെലവ്, സംഘർഷങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയ ആഗോള വെല്ലുവിളികളുടെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിൽ സുസ്ഥിരമായ കൃഷിയുടെ അടിയന്തിര ആവശ്യകതയെ നേരിടാൻ ഇതു ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു. 75 രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നായി ആയിരത്തോളം പ്രതിനിധികൾ സമ്മേളനത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു.
