ബയോമെഡിക്കൽ റിസർച്ച് കരിയർ പ്രോഗ്രാം (BRCP) മൂന്നാം ഘട്ടത്തിന്റെ തുടർച്ചയ്ക്ക് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയുടെ അധ്യക്ഷതയിൽ ചേർന്ന കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രിസഭാ യോഗം അംഗീകാരം നൽകി.ഇതനുസരിച്ച് ബയോടെക്നോളജി വകുപ്പും (DBT) യുണൈറ്റഡ് കിംഗ്ഡത്തിലെ വെൽകം ട്രസ്റ്റും (WT),SPV,ഇന്ത്യ അലയൻസും ചേർന്നുള്ള കൂട്ടായ പങ്കാളിത്തത്തോടെ നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്ന BRCP- മൂന്നാം ഘട്ടം(2025-26 മുതൽ 2030-31 വരെയുള്ളത് )2030-31 വരെ അംഗീകരിച്ച ഫെലോഷിപ്പുകളും ഗ്രാന്റുകളും നൽകുന്നതിന് ആറ് വർഷം കൂടി (2031-32 മുതൽ 2037-38 വരെ) നീട്ടുകയും,ഇതിനു വരുന്ന മൊത്തം 1500 കോടി രൂപ ചെലവിൽ,DBT ഉം WT ഉം യഥാക്രമം 1000 കോടി രൂപയും 500 കോടി രൂപയും സംഭാവന നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യും.
