The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, has approved Phase III of the Biomedical Research Career Programme (BRCP) (2025-26 to 2037-38) with a total outlay of ₹1,500 crore. Led by DBT in partnership with Wellcome Trust, it will provide fellowships, collaborative grants, and research management to nurture talent, enhance biomedical research, and drive innovation across India.
