Jatayu’s sacrifice to save Sita reflects fight against tyranny in all ages

Ahmedabad, Saturday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra today said that Jatayu’s supreme sacrifice in a bid to save Sita in the Ramayana reflects the fearless fight against tyranny in all ages.Mr. Modi said that Gujarat is a unique place where Ramchandra’s Vyaspeeth, Krishna’s childhood and ascension and Lord Siva’s huge temple at Somnath co-existed. Shankar Stuti at the Somnath temple has been written by a Jain muni. It was here that baby Krishna showed the entire universe in his mouth to Mata Yashoda, raised the entire Govardhan Hills in his finger.
He lauded the efforts of Karshan Bhagat and Guru Maharaj in spreading mass education among the Ahir community. Its fruits are now being enjoyed by new generation. He repeatedly stressed on the importance of education in this age.Mr.Modi was speaking at a function at Karshan Bhagat’s Ramkatha Vyaspeeth near Jam Khambhalia in Jamnager district during Kankeshwaridevi’s Ramkatha ands 11-kundi yajna to sanctify Rameshwar temple.
Earlier, the Hematbhai Rambhai Madam Charitable Trust’s Chairman Poonamben Hemat, priest Mahant Manimataji and Naga Bhagat among others extended a warm welcome to the Chief Minister.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included BJP District President and MLA Mulubhai Bera, Ahir community leaders Somabhai Patel and Bodhabhai Patel, District Panchayat President Dr PB Vasoyaamd MLA Meghjibhai Kanzaria.
