Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi campaigned across Maharashtra on Tuesday 7th October 2014. He addressed rallies in Dhule, Jalgaon, Buldhana, Nagpur. Referring to his campaign across Maharashtra Shri Modi said, “I have travelled across Maharashtra and the atmosphere I am seeing now I did not even see during the Lok Sabha elections. I want to tell political pundits, if you have the time please come to these Jan Sabhas. See the enthusiasm and involvement of the people.” He urged the people to bring the 15 years of loot and misgovernance of Congress-NCP to an end and elect a BJP government with a full majority.
Speaking at a rally in Nagpur the Prime Minister talked about the need to provide the poorest of the poor with proper affordable housing. Referring to the MIHAM project for the airport in Nagpur, the Prime Minister questioned the delay in the project due to Congress-NCP and added that the project will be completed and inaugurated by the present Central Government.
The Prime Minister showered praise on two BJP leaders from Nagpur and surrounding areas, BJP MP Shri Hansraj Ahir and Maharashtra BJP President Shri Devendra Fadnavis. On Shri Ahir the PM said, “Through his questions he put the UPA in the dock for the coal scam.” About Shri Fadnavis the PM affirmed, “You have given a very big gift to Maharashtra and that is Devendra Fadnavis. He is such a good representative. He has even been awarded for his work. He brought scams in front of the people.”
Referring to the polling date of October 15th, the Prime Minister called upon the people of Maharashtra to punish the Congress-NCP for 15 years of misrule on 15th October. He made it clear that the BJP will work for the poorest of the poor and not for a select privileged few.
In Buldhana, the Prime Minister took on the Congress-NCP for their failure to deliver good governance.
He called for electing the BJP so that Maharashtra can be known as a skilled Maharashtra instead of the scam Maharashtra due to actions of Congress-NCP. Referring to the NCP Shri Modi pointed that since the Party’s birth their clock has not even moved a minute ahead.
At the massive rally in Dhule the Prime Minister attacked the Congress-NCP for spreading lies.
He said, “Congress leaders believe in spreading lies and they feel by repeating it the people will believe it. They spread a lie saying Maharashtra will be divided. Till I am in Delhi I assure you no power will be able to divide Maharashtra. Those who are on the verge of defeat are spreading such lies.” He reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to work for the welfare of tribal comminutes.
Top BJP leaders including Shri Nitin Gadkari, Shri Eknath Khadse, Shri Devendra Fadnavis and RPI leader Shri Ramdas Athawale joined the rallies in the various locations.
