He said that exploitation of sugarcane farmers is not acceptable and the Central Government is committed that they get their rights. He highlighted several steps initiated by the NDA Government soon after coming to power in 2014. Emphasizing ethanol as an alternative fuel, PM Modi said that it would cut India’s fuel imports and benefit sugarcane farmers at large.

PM Modi pointed out several steps taken by the Union Government for benefiting the farmers. He spoke about neem-coating of urea, soil health card scheme and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and said these are aimed at benefiting farmers.

Prime Minister Modi said that the Government is giving impetus to infrastructure development in the region. “Be it roads, railways or fertilizer plants, we want the Poorvanchal to prosper”, said PM Modi.

Shri Modi said that evils of corruption and black money have ruined the nation and it is now time the country gets rid of such troubles. He noted that despite facing several inconveniences, people across the country have accepted the Centre’s demonetisation drive and are hopeful about fighting graft. Attacking other political parties, PM Modi said that on one hand the NDA Government is initiating steps to fight corruption, but on the other side few parties are discussing about ‘Bharat Bandh’.
