The visiting Deputy Premier of Queensland from Australia, Mr. Jeffrey William Seeney today met Gujarat chief minister Mr. Narendra Modi and held one-on-one talk dwelling on various range of mutual aspects to develop mutual ties with Australia especially between Queensland and Gujarat. For Queensland, Mr. Seeney is also holding charge of Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning.
The visiting delegation from Queensland also comprised Consul General in Mumbai Mr. Mark Pierce while additional Principal Secretary to Gujarat chief minister Mr. A K Sharma, additional chief secretary Mr. Maheshwar Sahu and Indian industrialist Mr. Gautam Adani were too present during the meet.
During the meet, members from both sides exchanged their views and ideas to developed policies, and build more comprehensive economic and cultural relations between Gujarat and Australia with in the backdrop of ever-changing global economic scenario world over.
Gujarat chief minister Mr. Modi and Mr. Seeney also discussed on the aspect like economic mobility and especially of sustainable economic development, and in this context the various available possibilities, which could unfold a wider cooperation between Gujarat and Queensland for wide range of fields.
Sharing details on those either settled for professional reasons and those students from Gujarat studying in Australia, Gujarat chief minister Mr. Modi extended an invitation to the visiting Deputy Premier and Consul General to depute a governmental and business delegation to take part in the upcoming Global Agricultural Summit scheduled on September 9 and 10 this year. The visiting Australian delegation was also informed of the successful visit of Gujarat-based business delegation that visited Australia.
