"Shri Narendra Modi addresses rallies in Assam"

Addressing massive rallies in Barpeta, Mangaldoi and Nagaon in Assam, on the afternoon of 19th April, Shri Narendra Modi came down heavily upon the misgovernance of the State and the Central government, which only believed in spreading lies and misleading the Nation for their personal gains. Shri Modi condemned the divisive politics played by them and urged the people to elect a government that would work for the development of the State and the country.

Criticizing the State government for the lack of development in Assam, inspite of it being in power for nearly a decade, Shri Modi spoke of how the ‘Mother-Son’ duo in Delhi and the ‘Father-Son’ duo in Assam had only brought ruin to the people who had elected them. The Congress’ blatant lies were exposed by Shri Modi who spoke of how the Congress Vice President was making false claims of giving employment through NREGA. Shri Modi said that while crores had applied for jobs through NREGA, only few thousands were given jobs. Even in Assam, out of the one lakh families that applied for NREGA, only a few thousand people had been employed.

The Congress’ apathy towards the safety and security of its people, especially the women, was condemned by Shri Modi who spoke of how females from the North-East had been victims of heinous crimes in Delhi, and also in their state of Assam. Shri Modi also stated recent figures which showed that Assam had figured in the list of top three states with the most crimes on women. He spoke of how the Congress had misled the Nation by creating a Nirbhaya Fund of Rs. 1000 crore, but has not used a penny out of it till date.

Stating that the Congress’ only focus was on divisive and destructive politics, Shri Modi cited how the division of Telangana and Seemandhra had only brought further ruin and misery for the people of these states. They should take everyone together,” said Shri Modi.

Shri Modi spoke of how the Assam CM would spread one lie everyday, and stated how a TV channel recently had exposed the lack of basic amenities in the region. “News Time Assam actually came to Gujarat to verify the lies your CM said and they opened the eyes of the people of Assam,” said Shri Modi.

He also spoke on other pertinent issues of infiltration from the borders, the need to protect natural resources and the much-required focus on ensuring education and skill development to the youth.

Shri Modi urged the people to show their support for the BJP and make it victorious, and assured them that with development and good governance he will return the love of the people. He also extended greetings and conveyed good wishes on Rongali Bihu.

PM Modi’s Green Energy Vision is a Game-Changer for India. Here's what Stats Speak
December 13, 2024

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spearheaded a transformative push in India's renewable energy sector, positioning the nation as a global leader in sustainable energy initiatives. Under his leadership, India has not only made significant strides in increasing its renewable energy capacity but has also taken on pivotal roles in international renewable energy organizations. Notably, India co-founded the International Solar Alliance (ISA) with France, which aims to promote solar energy usage among its 99 member countries and mobilize substantial investments for solar projects. India's ambitious goal to achieve 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 reflects this commitment. The nation has successfully installed over 200 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity, making it the first G20 country to fulfill its climate commitments ahead of schedule. PM Kusum has been instrumental in ensuring reduction of dependency on fossil fuels from agriculture sector. Over 4 lakh farmers have benefited from the scheme . The PM Surya Ghar scheme exemplifies this approach by providing financial support for rooftop solar installations, allowing households to become power producers while also generating employment opportunities. This initiative not only promotes renewable energy but also helps families save on electricity costs. The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the world’s largest domestic rooftop solar initiative, is transforming India’s energy landscape with a bold vision to supply solar power to one crore households by March 2027

Moreover, the government's focus on energy efficiency is evident in the widespread adoption of LED lighting across homes and infrastructure, significantly reducing power consumption and contributing to lower carbon emissions. These combined efforts illustrate India's comprehensive strategy to transition towards a sustainable energy future while ensuring economic growth and environmental protection.

Government Progressive Reforms for Renewable Energy

100% FDI in Renewable Energy Space – The government has permitted Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Renewable energy sector up to 100 percent under the automatic route, which would help in foreign companies to set up their manufacturing plants, and help in creating employment opportunities as well.

Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for National Programme on High Efficiency Solar PV Modules- for achieving manufacturing capacity of Giga Watt (GW) scale in High Efficiency Solar PV modules

Green Energy Corridor - Inter-State Transmission System - Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved construction of an Inter-State Transmission System for power evacuation and grid integration of the 13 GW RE projects in Ladakh and despatch of power from the U.T. of Ladakh to other parts of the country.

GOBARdhan - a mission to transform biodegradable and organic waste, including cattle dung, agricultural residues, and biomass, into high-value resources like biogas, CBG and organic manure which would help in creating clean burning fuel naturally.

Making Big Impact on Global Stage

International Solar Alliance - India was re-elected as the President of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) for a two-year term

One Sun, One World, One Grid (OSWOG) - is an Indian initiative to provide solar energy to 140 countries.

‘Lifestyle for the Environment (LiFE) Movement - the vision of LiFE is to live a lifestyle that is in tune with our planet and does not harm it. And those who live such a lifestyle are called “Pro-Planet People”

Bio Fuel Alliance - To strengthen global cooperation for rapid adoption and deployment of biofuels, the Global Biofuels Alliance (GBA) was launched on 9th September 2023, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in New Delhi with the support of 19 countries and 12 international organizations
