Eleven MOUs worth Rs.25,397 crore signed in Urban Development sector

As many as 11 MOUs worth Rs. Rs.25,397 crore in Urban Development sector were signed in presence of Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the morning session of the second day of 5th Vibrant Gujarat Summit at newly built Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar that started on Jan, 12th. While at least 655 MOUs worth Rs 2,26,274 crore are to be signed in this sector during the day.

The MOUs that were signed include [1] Essel Group [ Essel Infraproject limited] Mumbai worth Rs. 5200 crore for solid waste management, sewage treatment in Ahmedabad, Baroda and Surat and land fill gas capture and electricity generation project in Aahmedaabad and vapi and desalination project in Surat.

[2] L & T infrastructure Development projects LTD, worth Rs.5000 crores :– Ahmedabad Monorail project of proposed investment.

[3] Sintex Indistries Limited worth Rs.2500 crore: Affordable Houses for EWS/LIG sections o f the society in different area

[4] Sevvy Unispace Pvt. Ltd. Worth Rs.3065 crore:– knowledge park township and commercial development

[5] Arvind ltd. Worth Rs.2500 crores:-industrial and residential township in coastal area [6] Parswanath Corporation worth Rs. 2282 crore: – township

[7] Sadbhav Engineeing ltd. Worth Rs.2000 crore for capacity expansion of SP Ring road.

[8] Immense properties worth Rs.1500 crore for residential township along with infrastructure such as Hotel and Hospital

[9] Tata Housing worth Rs.1000 crore for real estate project

[10] Desai Developers ltd. Worth Rs.150 crore for real estae project and

[11] Hitech Propmart pvt. Ltd, worth Rs.200 crore for Residential Township. 7, 49,592 employment would be generated with investment of Rs.2,26,274 corores in this sector.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation today with the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah.

The two leaders exchanged views on the evolving security situation in West Asia.

Prime Minister expressed deep concern over the escalation of tensions and reaffirmed India’s strong condemnation of attacks on Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Prime Minister reiterated the call for de-escalation, dialogue and diplomacy for earliest restoration of peace and stability.

Prime Minister thanked His Highness the Amir for his personal attention to the continued well-being and the safety of the large Indian community in Kuwait.
