હાલના દિવસોમાં આપણું ઓડિશા ઉત્સવોના આનંદમાં ડૂબેલું છે. અહીંનો ગણપર્વ રજ, ગયા અઠવાડિયે જ ધામધૂમથી ઉજવવામાં આવ્યો છે. મહાપ્રભુ જગન્નાથ જીની રથયાત્રાની તૈયારીઓ પણ જોરશોરથી ચાલી રહી છે. મયુરભંજના બારીપદા રથયાત્રાને લઈને પણ ઉત્સાહનો માહોલ છે. અને આ બધાની વચ્ચે જ લોકશાહીના વિકાસનો ઉત્સવ પણ ચાલી રહ્યો છે. ઓડિશાની ભાજપ સરકારે પોતાના 2 વર્ષ પણ પૂર્ણ કર્યા છે. આ અવસરે, આપ સૌની વચ્ચે આવવાનું, મયુરભંજ આવવાનું આ સૌભાગ્ય અને આટલી મોટી સંખ્યામાં આપ સૌની ઉપસ્થિતિ, આ અવસર મારા માટે બહુ ખાસ છે. તમારો પોતાનો ભાવ મને વારંવાર અહીં ખેંચી લાવે છે. હું આપ સૌનું હૃદયપૂર્વક બહુ-બહુ અભિનંદન કરું છું. અને ઓડિશાની જનતાને ડબલ એન્જિન સરકારમાં વિકાસ યાત્રાની પણ વધામણી આપું છું, શુભેચ્છાઓ આપું છું. સાથે જ, આ અવસરે હું પંડિત રઘુનાથ મુર્મુ જી, ડો. દમયંતી બેશ્રા જી, અને શ્રી ચરણ હેમ્બ્રમ જી જેવી વિભૂતિઓને પણ નમન કરું છું. રઘુનાથ મુર્મુ જીએ સંથાલી ભાષા માટે ઓલ ચિકી લિપિનું નિર્માણ કર્યું હતું. આપણી સરકારે સંથાલી ભાષામાં ભારતનું સંવિધાન પ્રસ્તુત કર્યું છે. ઓડિશાના સંતાનોને પદ્મ સન્માન આપીને સન્માનિત કર્યા છે. વિતેલા 2 વર્ષોમાં ઓડિશા સરકાર પણ આ બધી વિભૂતિઓના સપનાઓને પૂરા કરવામાં દિવસ રાત પુરુષાર્થ કરી રહી છે.

રાષ્ટ્રપતિ શ્રીમતી દ્રૌપદી મુર્મુ અને પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આજે મયૂરભંજ જિલ્લાના પહાડપુર ગામની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી. રાષ્ટ્રપતિ અને પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ પવિત્ર ઉપવન સંથાલી જાહેરા અને હો જાહેરા, સ્કિલ સેન્ટર અને પહાડપુર શાળામાં પૂજા-અર્ચના કરી હતી. રાષ્ટ્રપતિ અને પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ ઓડિશા સરકારના બે વર્ષ પૂર્ણ થવા નિમિત્તે મયૂરભંજ જિલ્લાના રાયરંગપુર ખાતે આયોજિત એક કાર્યક્રમમાં ભાગ લીધો હતો. આ કાર્યક્રમની થીમ “વિકાસ રા ધારા, ઓડિશા સારા” (Vikas ra Dhara, Odisha Sara) છે. શ્રી મોદીએ ₹47,600 કરોડથી વધુની કિંમતના વિવિધ વિકાસ પ્રોજેક્ટ્સનું ઉદ્ઘાટન અને શિલાન્યાસ કર્યો હતો.
