આજે આપણે સૌ એક ખૂબ જ ખાસ અવસર પર અહીં એકત્રિત થયા છીએ. ‘નેશનલ સ્ટાર્ટઅપ ડે’નો આ અવસર, સ્ટાર્ટઅપ ફાઉન્ડર્સ અને ઇનોવેટર્સનો આ સમૂહ, હું મારી સામે નવા અને વિકસિત ભારતનું ભવિષ્ય જોઈ રહ્યો છું. હમણાં મને સ્ટાર્ટઅપની દુનિયાના કેટલાક લોકો સાથે, તેમની જે કેટલીક સિદ્ધિઓ હતી, તેમના જે પ્રયોગો હતા, તે જોવાની તક મળી, કેટલાક સાથીઓને સાંભળવાની તક મળી. એગ્રીકલ્ચરમાં કામ કરી રહેલા સ્ટાર્ટઅપ, ફિનટેક (Fintech), મોબિલિટીનું સેક્ટર, હેલ્થ અને સસ્ટેનેબિલિટીનું ફિલ્ડ, તમારા જે આઈડિયાઝ છે, તે માત્ર મને જ નહીં, દરેકને પ્રભાવિત કરનારા છે. પરંતુ મારા માટે જે મહત્વની વાત છે, તે તમારો આત્મવિશ્વાસ અને તમારી મહત્વાકાંક્ષાઓ (Ambitions), આ મને વધુ પ્રભાવશાળી લાગ્યા. આજથી 10 વર્ષ પહેલા, વિજ્ઞાન ભવનમાં, એક 500-700 નવયુવાનોની વચ્ચે આ કાર્યક્રમની શરૂઆત કરી હતી, રિતેશ અહીં બેઠા છે, ત્યારે તેમની શરૂઆત હતી. અને તે સમયે સ્ટાર્ટઅપની દુનિયામાં જે નવા-નવા લોકો આવી રહ્યા હતા, તેમના અનુભવો હું સાંભળી રહ્યો હતો, અને મને યાદ છે કે એક દીકરી જે કોર્પોરેટ વર્લ્ડમાં પોતાની નોકરી છોડીને, સ્ટાર્ટઅપ તરફ જઈ રહી હતી. તો નોકરી છોડીને તે કોલકાતા પોતાની માતાને મળવા ગઈ અને માતાને કહ્યું કે મેં નોકરી છોડી દીધી છે, તો માતાએ કહ્યું, કેમ? આ બધું તેણે તે દિવસે વિજ્ઞાન ભવનમાં સંભળાવ્યું હતું, તો તેણે કહ્યું ના બસ હવે તો હું સ્ટાર્ટઅપ કરવા માંગુ છું, તો તેની માતાએ જે તેને કહ્યું, તે તેણે સંભળાવ્યું હતું, તેણે કહ્યું- સર્વનાશ, આ તું બરબાદીના રસ્તે કેમ જઈ રહી છે. સ્ટાર્ટઅપના સંબંધમાં આ વિચાર આપણા દેશમાં હતો અને આજે આપણે ક્યાંથી ક્યાં પહોંચી ગયા, વિજ્ઞાન ભવનથી આજે ભારત મંડપમમાં જગ્યા નથી, અને મારું સૌભાગ્ય છે કે મને આ એક અઠવાડિયામાં જ દેશના નવયુવાનોને બીજી વાર મળવાની તક મળી રહી છે. હમણાં 12 જાન્યુઆરીએ યુવા દિવસ પર હું દેશભરમાંથી આવેલા લગભગ 3000 યુવકોને બે-અઢી કલાક સુધી સાંભળતો રહ્યો હતો અને તેમની સાથે બેઠો હતો. અને આજે મને આપ સૌને સાંભળવાનો અને મારા દેશના નવયુવાનોને, તેમની શક્તિના દર્શન કરવાનો મને અવસર મળ્યો છે.
