પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ આજે પશ્ચિમ બંગાળના હુગલી જિલ્લાના સિંગુરમાં ₹830 કરોડથી વધુની વિવિધ વિકાસ પરિયોજનાઓનું ઉદ્ઘાટન કર્યું, શિલાન્યાસ કર્યો અને લીલી ઝંડી બતાવી. આ પ્રસંગે જનમેદનીને સંબોધતા શ્રી મોદીએ ટિપ્પણી કરી હતી કે ગઈકાલે તેઓ માલદામાં હતા અને આજે તેમને હુગલીમાં લોકોની વચ્ચે રહેવાનું સૌભાગ્ય મળ્યું છે. તેમણે ભારપૂર્વક જણાવ્યું હતું કે વિકસિત ભારત માટે પૂર્વ ભારતનો વિકાસ અનિવાર્ય છે, અને આ ધ્યેય સાથે કેન્દ્ર સરકાર સતત કામ કરી રહી છે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું કે ગઈકાલના અને આજના કાર્યક્રમો આ સંકલ્પને મજબૂત બનાવે છે. પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ નોંધ્યું હતું કે આ સમયગાળા દરમિયાન તેમને પશ્ચિમ બંગાળના વિકાસને લગતી સેંકડો કરોડની પરિયોજનાઓનો શિલાન્યાસ અને ઉદ્ઘાટન કરવાની તક મળી છે.
