પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ રવિવારના રોજ દિલ્હી એનસીઆર પ્રદેશમાં બે નવનિર્મિત એક્સપ્રેસવે દેશને સમર્પિત કર્યા. તેમાંના પ્રથમમાં દિલ્હી-મેરઠ એક્સપ્રેસવેના 14 લેન, એક્સેસ કંટ્રોલનાં પ્રથમ તબક્કાનો સમાવેશ થાય છે, કે જે નિજ઼ામુદ્દીન સેતુથી દિલ્હી – ઉત્તરપ્રદેશ સરહદને જોડે છે. દેશને સમર્પિત કરવામાં આવેલી બીજી પરિયોજના 135 કિલોમીટર લાંબી ઇસ્ટર્ન પેરિફેરલ એક્સપ્રેસવે (ઈપીઈ) છે કે જે કુંડલીથી લઇને રાષ્ટ્રીય ધોરીમાર્ગ 1 અને રાષ્ટ્રીય ધોરીમાર્ગ 2 પર પલવલને જોડે છે.‘કૃષિ 2022: ખેડૂતોની આવક બમણી કરવી’ વિષય પરની રાષ્ટ્રીય પરિષદમાં પ્રધાનમંત્રીનાં વક્તવ્યનો મૂળપાઠ (20.02.2018)
