The Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi has approved 'Samudra Manthan' – the National Offshore Exploration Scheme with an approved outlay of Rs.84,084 crore for implementation up to FY 2030-31. પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીની અધ્યક્ષતામાં કેન્દ્રીય કેબિનેટે ઓઇલ માર્કેટિંગ કંપનીઓ (OMCs) માટે રૂ. 10,000 કરોડથી વધુ ન હોય તેવી એક વખતની અંદાજપત્રીય સહાયને મંજૂરી આપી છે, જેથી તેઓ શેડ્યૂલ ભારતીય એરલાઇન્સને તેમની સ્થાનિક અને આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય કામગીરી માટે એટીએફ (ATF) ભાવ સ્થિરીકરણ સહાય પૂરી પાડી શકે. આ અંદાજપત્રીય સહાય પેટ્રોલિયમ અને કુદરતી ગેસ મંત્રાલયની ગ્રાન્ટની માંગણીઓ દ્વારા OMCને વ્યાજમુક્ત એડવાન્સ (અગાઉથી અપાતી રકમ) ના સ્વરૂપમાં આપવામાં આવશે. પશ્ચિમ એશિયાની કટોકટીમાંથી ઉદ્ભવેલી ઇંધણના ભાવોની અસાધારણ અસ્થિરતાના વર્તમાન સમયગાળા દરમિયાન એરલાઇન્સ માટે સ્થિર ATF પ્રાઇસિંગની સુવિધા આપવા માટે OMCને આ સહાય પૂરી પાડવામાં આવશે.
