સાથીઓ, વિકસિત ભારત યંગ લીડર્સ ડાયલોગ દરમિયાન મેં એક વિચાર યુવાનો સમક્ષ રાખ્યો હતો. વિચાર એ હતો કે કેમ નહીં યુવા સાથીઓ વર્ચ્યુઅલ માધ્યમના બદલે જમીન પર ઊતરીને ભારતને જાણે, ભારત સાથે જોડાય, ભારતને જીવવાનો પ્રયાસ કરે, ભારતને સમજે. ભારતના ગામડાઓમાં વિકસિત થવા માટે કેટલી આકાંક્ષાઓ છે એ ગામડાઓમાં જઈને ખબર પડે છે અને આપણા સીમાવર્તી ગામડાઓમાં વિકાસની આકાંક્ષા અને દેશભક્તિની ભાવના એ આપણે બરાબર - બરાબર અને ક્યારેક તો લાગે છે કે તેમના માટે પોતાનાથી વધુ દેશ હોય છે. દેશ પહેલાં બાકી બધી સુવિધાઓ પછી, આ આપણને સીમાવર્તી ગામડાઓમાં ખાસ અનુભવાય છે. અને એટલા માટે ઉદ્દેશ્ય એ હતો કે દેશના અલગ-અલગ જિલ્લાના યુવાનો હિમાચલ, ઉત્તરાખંડ અને લદાખના ગામડાઓની યાત્રા કરે. ત્યાં લોકો કેવી રીતે રહે છે? ખાનપાન કેવું છે? કામકાજ, સંસ્કૃતિ, જીવન વ્યવહાર આ બધી વાતો શું છે? પડકારો શું છે? દેશના પ્રથમ ગામમાં બેઠેલા લોકો દેશની સુરક્ષા માટે કેટલા જાગરૂક છે? દેશના અન્ય ભાગોથી તેમનો લગાવ, નિકટતા કેટલી છે? આ બધી બાબતોનો અનુભવ મારા દેશના નવજુવાનોને મળે. આ અમારો ઉદ્દેશ્ય હતો. અને જે ઉત્સાહ આખા દેશના યુવાનોમાં દેખાયો, તે અદ્ભુત છે. લગભગ 3 લાખ યુવાનોએ આ સ્પર્ધામાં ભાગ લીધો અને તેમાંથી 400 થી વધુ યુવાનોની પસંદગી થઈ. આપ સૌ એક સપ્તાહ સુધી આ દૂર-સુદૂરના ગામડાઓમાં રહ્યા. અજાણી જગ્યા હતી તમારા માટે. તમે ત્યાંના જીવનને જીવવાનો પ્રયાસ કર્યો. તમે તેની અંદર ભળી ગયા. પોતાની સંસ્કૃતિને ત્યાંની સંસ્કૃતિ સાથે જોડી, કનેક્ટ કરી. એક ભારત શ્રેષ્ઠ ભારતનું આનાથી અને આનાથી ઉત્તમ ઉદાહરણ કદાચ જ કોઈ બીજું હોઈ શકે.
