The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Modi, has approved a Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) of ₹365 per quintal for sugarcane for the 2026–27 season. The decision aims to safeguard the interests of farmers while ensuring stability in the sugar sector. To make the country self-reliant in Cotton Sector, the Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi has approved Rs.5659.22 crore for Mission for Cotton Productivity (2026–27 to 2030–31).
