Good Governance is necessary for development of Uttar Pradesh

PM Modi, while addressing a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba, said that good governance is vital for development. He highlighted how in Bundelkhand region, funds allotted by Government of India was judiciously used in Madhya Pradesh region while in Uttar Pradesh region, what happened to those funds could not be traced.

Shri Modi also highlighted that 90% of works to tackle water scarcity in Madhya Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region was complete while only 40% work was carried out in UP Bundelkhand region. The PM also noted that only 70 irrigation projects were initiated in Uttar Pradesh which was not completed while 170 similar projects taken up in Madhya Pradesh were successfully completed.
