Hon'ble CM at International Conference on Nano Technology

In the wake of the criminal world moving towards high-tech and sophisticated crimes, Mr. Modi said, the criminal justice system needed to be made technology-driven, even as forensic science has many success stories in taking crime investigation through conviction.

He said the tradition of applying vermillion in the partings between hair at the time of marriage and watching the footprints of caravan of camels in the deserts have their bearings on the modern forensic science.

Nanotechnology expert V. Krishnan from Bangalore described the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as a person with foresight. He wished the Forensic Sciences University would ensure the application of Nanotechnology in forensic science to strengthen the system of criminal justice and revolutionize the fingerprint technology.

Union Minister of State for Home Prafull Patel, Gujarat Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Balwant Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (S&T) Ravi Saxena and Director-General of Police Chittaranjan Singh, among others attended the inaugural session.
