Ahmedabad, Friday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today paid his condolences to late former Union Textiles Minister and senior political leader Kashiram Rana and placed a wreath on his last remains lying in state at his Surat residence.

Expressing his sorrow and grief at sudden demise, Mr. Modi said that late Mr. Rana has risen from a simple background to devote his life to public life, relentlessly fighting for some cause or the other for the last 40 years. “In his death, I have lost a personal friend of long standing, leaving behind many memorable moments,” he said.

Mr. Modi also sympathized with sons and other members of late Mr. Rana and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi said that robust 8.4% GDP growth in Q3 2023-24 shows the strength of Indian economy and its potential. He also reiterated that our efforts will continue to bring fast economic growth which shall help 140 crore Indians lead a better life and create a Viksit Bharat.
