Expressing his sorrow and grief at sudden demise, Mr. Modi said that late Mr. Rana has risen from a simple background to devote his life to public life, relentlessly fighting for some cause or the other for the last 40 years. “In his death, I have lost a personal friend of long standing, leaving behind many memorable moments,” he said.
Mr. Modi also sympathized with sons and other members of late Mr. Rana and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
