CM addresses global meet of Oswal community

With its strategic decision power Gujarat ensures that no opportunity of growth goes unexploited: Narendra Modi

Addressing a global meet of Oswal community today Chief Minister Narendra Modi said that Gujarat is scaling new heights of development with a strategic decision power and by ensuring that no opportunity of growth goes unexploited.

Visa Oswal people have organized a global meet of their community in Jamnagar. Speaking to the gathering through video conferencing, Chief Minister lauded the community’s contribution in the midst of the natural calamities like earthquake. He also praised the community for its efforts in keeping the Gujarati language and culture alive.

Speaking about the development of Gujarat, Chief Minister said that once known as the trader’s state, Gujarat has successfully transformed itself into an industrial state. Gujarat has positioned itself as a leader in Chemical and pharmaceutical industry in India and has also emerged as an automobile hub of Asia. Top carmakers of the world have set up their plants in Gujarat and in the near future the state will produce around five million cars.

Nine of the ten diamonds in the world pass through the hands of Gujarati artisans and similarly, he said, a great number of cars in the world will be made by Gujarati youths.

Mentioning the 1600 km. seacoast of Gujarat Mr Modi said that in the past huge seacoast was turning out to be a burden but during last decade it has became a gateway to prosperity with many ports seeing huge amount of business.

Round-the-clock availability of electricity in villages has become instrumental in providing broadband connectivity to the villages. This has opened the door of long distance education in villages. With the qualitative changes in the field of education, many avenues have opened up for the development of intellectual property, he said.

Gujarat has also initiated in using of renewable energy sources and is on the verge of setting up of the biggest solar park in north Gujarat, he added.

Minister of State Vasuben Trivedi and Mayor Amiben Parikh was also present on the occasion.

Coordinator of the meet Parag Shah thanked the Chief Minister and attributed the fast-paced growth of the state to the farsighted leadership of Mr Modi.
