Shri Modi said, “In Surat some of our over enthusiastic workers of the BJP put up hoardings in a language that is not acceptable in a democracy.”
He added that the action of the party workers was unfortunate. “In a democracy it is essential that basic courtesies and respect for each other should be maintained. I have put this matter to the attention of senior party leaders in the BJP. They have asked for the hoardings to be removed with instructions that such acts should not be repeated again” said Shri Modi.
