আজ আমি একটি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় নিয়ে বিশেষ করে দেশের মা-বোন ও কন্যাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলতে এসেছি। আজ ভারতের প্রতিটি নাগরিক দেখছেন, কীভাবে ভারতের নারীশক্তির উড়ানকে থামিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে। তাঁদের স্বপ্নগুলো নির্মমভাবে পিষে ফেলা হয়েছে। আমাদের সর্বোচ্চ প্রচেষ্টা সত্ত্বেও আমরা সফল হতে পারিনি—“নারী শক্তি বন্দন অধিনিয়ম”-এ সংশোধন করা সম্ভব হয়নি। আর এর জন্য আমি দেশের সমস্ত মা-বোনদের কাছে ক্ষমাপ্রার্থী।
