He lauded the Bodo community for preserving the Bodo language and culture and reiterated the double-engine government’s commitment to safeguard Assam's heritage. Attacking previous regimes for the violence in the region, he highlighted the Bodo Peace Accord as a landmark achievement and resolved to achieve a ‘Viksit Assam’.

PM Modi will visit Assam on 13-14 March 2026. During the visit, the PM will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, lay foundation stones, perform Bhoomi Poojan and flag off multiple development projects worth more than ₹47,600 crore across Kokrajhar, Guwahati and Silchar. In Guwahati, the PM will distribute land pattas to tea garden workers and will also release the 22nd installment of the PM-KISAN scheme.

প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী গুয়াহাটির সরুসাজাই স্টেডিয়ামে বোড়ো সম্প্রদায়ের সমৃদ্ধ ঐতিহ্য উদযাপনের ঐতিহাসিক সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান বাগুরুম্বা ধেহু (ঢেউ) ২০২৬-এ ভাষণ দেন।এই অনুষ্ঠানে ভাষণ দিতে গিয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, আসামের সংস্কৃতি প্রত্যক্ষ করা এবং বোড়ো সম্প্রদায়ের ঐতিহ্যকে কাছ থেকে দেখার সুযোগ পাওয়াটা তাঁর জন্য একটি বিশেষ সৌভাগ্যের বিষয়। তিনি বলেন, তাঁর মতো এত ঘন ঘন কোনো প্রধানমন্ত্রী আসাম সফর করেননি এবং তিনি জোর দিয়ে বলেন যে, আসামের শিল্প ও সংস্কৃতি যেন আরও বড় মঞ্চ পায় এবং জমকালো উদযাপনের মাধ্যমে দেশ ও বিশ্বজুড়ে স্বীকৃতি লাভ করে, এটাই তাঁর নিরন্তর ইচ্ছা। তিনি বলেন, এই লক্ষ্যে ধারাবাহিক প্রচেষ্টা চালানো হয়েছে, যার উদাহরণ হিসেবে তিনি বড় আকারে বিহু উৎসব, ঝুমুর বিনোদিনীর পরিবেশনা, সোয়া এক বছর আগে নতুন দিল্লিতে অনুষ্ঠিত বিশাল বোড়ো মহোৎসব এবং অন্যান্য সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের কথা উল্লেখ করেন। প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, আসামের শিল্প ও সংস্কৃতির অনন্য আনন্দ উপভোগ করার কোনো সুযোগ তিনি হাতছাড়া করেন না। তিনি বলেন, আবারও বাগুরুম্বা উৎসবের আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে, যা হবে বোড়ো পরিচয়ের এক প্রাণবন্ত উদযাপন এবং আসামের ঐতিহ্যের প্রতি একটি শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি। শ্রী মোদী এই অনুষ্ঠানের সঙ্গে জড়িত সকলকে, বিশেষ করে শিল্পীদের শুভেচ্ছা ও অভিনন্দন জানান।
