আমাদের ওড়িশা আজকাল উৎসবের আনন্দে মগ্ন। গত সপ্তাহেই মহা ধুমধামে গণেশ উৎসব পালিত হয়েছে। ভগবান জগন্নাথের রথযাত্রার প্রস্তুতিও পুরোদমে চলছে। ময়ূরভঞ্জের বারিপদ রথযাত্রা নিয়েও উত্তেজনার আবহ রয়েছে। আর এই সবকিছুর মাঝে গণতন্ত্রের অগ্রগতির উদযাপনও চলছে। ওড়িশায় বিজেপি সরকারেরও দুই বছর পূর্ণ হয়েছে। এই উপলক্ষে, আপনাদের সকলের মাঝে থাকতে পারা, ময়ূরভঞ্জে আসার সৌভাগ্য এবং আপনাদের এত বিপুল সংখ্যায় উপস্থিতি—এইসব উপলক্ষ আমার জন্য অত্যন্ত বিশেষ। আপনাদের আন্তরিকতা আমাকে বারবার এখানে টেনে আনে। আমি আপনাদের সকলকে আন্তরিকভাবে অভিনন্দন জানাই। আমি ডাবল-ইঞ্জিন সরকারের অধীনে ওড়িশার জনগণের উন্নয়ন যাত্রার জন্য তাঁদেরও অভিনন্দন ও শুভেচ্ছা জানাই। এছাড়াও, এই উপলক্ষে আমি পণ্ডিত রঘুনাথ মুর্মু, ডঃ দাময়ন্তী বেশ্র এবং শ্রী চরণ হেমব্রামের মতো প্রখ্যাত ব্যক্তিত্বদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করছি। রঘুনাথ মুর্মু সাঁওতালি ভাষার জন্য অলচিকি লিপি তৈরি করেছিলেন। আমাদের সরকার সাঁওতালি ভাষায় ভারতের সংবিধান উপস্থাপন করেছে। আমরা ওড়িশার সন্তানদের পদ্ম পুরস্কারে সম্মানিত করেছি। গত দুই বছর ধরে, ওড়িশা সরকার এই সমস্ত প্রখ্যাত ব্যক্তিত্বদের স্বপ্ন পূরণের জন্য অক্লান্তভাবে কাজ করে চলেছে।
