The Union Cabinet chaired by PM Modi has approved a Scheme for Promotion of Surface Coal/Lignite Gasification Projects with a financial outlay of Rs. 37,500 crore. The scheme strengthens energy security and reduces dependence on imports, while advancing the objectives of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India. In line with the announcements made in Union Budget 2018-19, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by PM Modi has approved the increase in the MSP for 14 Kharif crops for Marketing Season 2026-27. This will ensure remunerative prices for growers for their produce.
